Green candles, for once
After a week that felt like being slowly deflated, the majors found a floor. CoinDesk reported on June 26 that bitcoin steadied near $60,000 following a sharp sell-off, and that the leadership came from DeFi and Solana ecosystem names rather than from BTC itself. $SOL added close to 10% on the day.
The engine, per the same report, was tokenized equities: trading of tokenized stocks on Solana surged to roughly $2.5 billion in weekly volume, dragging up the infrastructure tokens that sit underneath it. Jito, Raydium, Meteora and Kamino Finance all caught a bid. Away from Solana, AAVE jumped 19% after a CoinDesk report on a possible strategic investment from Kraken's parent, alongside founder Stani Kulechov's comments that protocol revenue flows to AAVE holders under the new framework.

The memecoin side of the ledger
Degens had their own storyline. Cryptobriefing reported that Ansem, the Solana influencer whose wallet received a large airdropped share of the $ANSEM supply, started redistributing roughly $7 million worth of tokens to Solana users between June 27 and June 29, funded by Pump.fun creator fees. The stated aim was to grow the holder base from around 25,000 wallets toward one million.
What it means for degens
Two different Solanas showed up in the same week. One is a settlement layer for tokenized equities that institutions can explain to a compliance desk. The other is a slot machine where an influencer's fee stream becomes a distribution schedule. Both drive the same block space, and for now both were pointing the same direction. Nothing here says the bottom is in, only that the network still gets used when prices are ugly.
