The month in one number
July's ledger is closed and it is loud: 4.2 billion on-chain transactions, a 13.5% jump on June and 91% above December 2025, according to Crypto Briefing. That is a network doing more of what it is built for, which on Solana means a very large number of very small, very fast, very speculative trades.
The memecoin layer is a big part of why. Crypto Briefing reports memecoins at 29% of Solana's spot DEX volume in the week of July 20-26, the highest share since August 2025, with the daily figure briefly hitting 42%. For context on how dead it had gotten: weekly memecoin volume on Solana was around $1.8 billion in late May.

Meanwhile, in the suits' corner
Solana's own July roundup logs $1.12 billion in cumulative net flows into U.S.-listed Solana funds by July 31, including seed assets and a prior product conversion, plus a mainnet upgrade on July 29 that lifted block capacity from 60M to 100M compute units.
What it means for degens
Activity and price have spent 2026 living in separate apartments, and July did nothing to change that. Rising transaction counts tell you the casino is busy; they do not tell you new money walked through the door rather than the same money rotating faster. The honest read on a month like this: conditions for launch trading improved, the odds on any individual launch did not.
