One day of calm
On Tuesday, June 9, Yahoo Finance reported bitcoin opening at $63,078.89, down just 0.3%, and ether at $1,689.88, up 0.2% β the report was headlined around values stabilizing as investors may seek alternatives. Twenty-four hours later that stabilization was gone.
Wednesday's numbers, per Yahoo Finance: bitcoin opened at $61,672.20, down 2.3%, with ether at $1,638.45, down 3.1%, and both falling further after the open.

The calendar is not helping either
Supply keeps arriving regardless of the tape. SolanaFloor's June schedule had roughly 624,666 SOL unlocking on June 7, with another 200,000 SOL due mid-month β more than 800,000 SOL in total β and pump.fun set to release 10 billion $PUMP on June 12, valued at about $17.98 million. SolanaFloor's own caveat is worth keeping: historically much of the unlocked SOL has been staked rather than sold, so an unlock is a change in who can sell, not evidence that anyone will.
Still, the sequencing is unflattering. A launchpad token's largest monthly emission lands two days from now, into a market where the majors cannot string two green opens together.
What it means for degens
Memecoin trading needs two things from the majors: direction and stability. Right now it is getting neither. A market that opens down 2-3% on alternating days does not produce the patient bid that carries a new launch from mint to anything resembling a chart β it produces chop, exit liquidity and a lot of very short holding periods.
