Existing installs continued to function normally and there was no indication of any issue with user funds. The practical effect was narrower than the headline — a first-time user in the US or India simply could not find the app.
Narrow or not, mobile matters here. App activity feeds directly into the platform's fee machine, which is the entire basis of the $PUMP narrative. Cut off frictionless mobile onboarding in two large markets and you are throttling the top of the funnel, even if every existing power user is unaffected.
What it means for degens
The rest of Solana had a loud day regardless. Solana Compass reports Raydium's total daily swap volume hit more than $314 million on September 11, up from an average of roughly $40 million over the first five days of the month. Whatever was happening in Cupertino, onchain throughput was not the bottleneck.
